Parsis: The Zoroastrians of India special opening event.

PARSIS The Zoroastrians of IndiaInternationally-acclaimed screenwriter and photographer Sooni Taraporevala will discuss her work with Homi Bhabha,  Anne F. Rothenberg Professor of the Humanities in the Department of English, the Director of the Humanities Center and the Senior Advisor on the Humanities to the President and Provost at Harvard University.

From October 25- December 20, Sooni Taraporevala’s photography exhibition, Parsis: The Zoroastrians of India, will be on display at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts. Sooni Taraporevala is best known as the screenwriter of Mississippi Masala, The Namesake, and Oscar-nominated Salaam Bombay, all directed by Mira Nair. She directed her first feature film, Little Zizou based on a screenplay of her own, an ensemble piece set in Mumbai, in 2007.
